First, hello to all the new people on my f-list. My life is not all that interesting at the moment as I've just moved back into my mother's house and pretty much am spending all my time fixing up my room, taking over all the house bookshelves and searching for a job. Still, welcome. I hope you enjoy the fannish content that's posted here, though to be honest it is mostly pics of my pets and stories of my family right now.
Second, I have a dresser! It is red and black and fits perfectly in the tiny space I had to fit a dresser. It's made of real wood, was only $150.00 and sort of reminds me of NC State colors. Now all I have to do is paint my nightstand and computer table and all my furniture will mostly match. I've also acquired a hamper and a trash can. Still need a mirror, a magnetic board, a filing cabinet and some shelves. Thank you, Garden Ridge. I will soon be back once I have a job for that teapot lamp and that small pale blue side table for the bathroom. But, seriously, we saw the dresser on the way out of the store, it was the only one of its kind left, and I am so happy to have a working dresser for the first time in 8 years.
Matt's decreed I shall have a driving lesson on Wed. This should be fun. I've not been behind the wheel of a car in 10 years. I'm trying not to feel all ashamed over the fact that the cousin I remember taking care of as a baby just took her driving test and that I am over 12 years older than her. I'm still not happy about having to drive, but I no longer have the luxury of a decent mass tranist system.
Matt and I have also started a book club of two. We're kicking off with To Kill A Mocking Bird which neither of us read at our once, rated #7 best public high school in the country, school. It wasn't part of my 11th-Grade AP American Lit class nor his gifted American Lit class. No time like the present I suppose.
Lastly, I stumbled across the new tv show on TNT, Rizzoli & Isles and was very surprised to find Mr. Donnie Wahlberg playing a Police Lt. He looks quite good in the suit. The episode was called "Boston Strangler Redux" and he will also, apparently, be in the new episode airing tonight. Donnie and Angie Harmon act well off each other though the show is pretty much standard fare. Popcorn buddy cop show, not anything groundbreaking with the exception of two female leads.
