This is a yay moment
Staycation has begun. I shall not be at work again until a week and a few days from now. I have so much cleaning and packing to do. Mom's coming up on Thursday, we go to the aquarium on Friday, Salem on Saturday, and then putting mom back on a plane Sunday, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to it all. I will have one day, however, where I will not get dressed at all. One needs that during a staycation. Yes, that is my goal for the next week. One day where I just make myself relax. No running around Quincy or in to Boston, no worrying about what's going on at work, nada. Just one day of me, pj's, books, music, and dvds.
Also, out of all the places I expected to use my Classics Minor and too many years of Latin, my current job working in the accounting office of a large auto dealer was not one of them. However, Ford offers discounts on cars for certain people with certain degrees, they just need a copy of a diploma or transcript. Therefore, when someone who went to Ye Olde School of Snobbery sends in their diploma full of nothing but Latin, guess who gets tapped to try and translate? Yes, that would be. No matter that I've not translated the language daily since sometime in early-2005, I'm still made to puzzle out what I can. It always surprises me, however, just how much I do remember.
