Thursday: Major fire on Red Line
Friday: Small Fire on Red Line
Today: Water main burst=
boil water orders for most of Boston-Metro area/Eastern Mass-ish, including where I live.
Tomorrow: God only knows what.
I found out about the water main burst about four hours too late, so by the time I got to CVS all the water on the actual shelf and most of the water in the actual freezer/cases was gone. I just spent $12 bucks on 2 one liter bottles of Evian and 4 20oz bottles of Aquafina, both of which I can't stand. I'm kind of screwed b/c on average, per day, I go through 2.5 1.5 liter bottles of water, but hopefully it will all be fixed soon. My lovely landlords didn't even bother informing any of the residents, so thank god I checked wbz.com before going to refill my water pitcher. I'm actually really quite pissed about no-notifcation from the landlords bit. I pay them an insane amount of money each month for my teeny-tiny studio and they've just screwed me over more and more as the years have gone on. One of the pros of moving.
In other news:
I did actually start packing some stuff away today. I figured now that it's May I can pack away the cords, heavy sweaters, gloves and heavy scarves. Granted it is still New England, so when the random freak snow storm comes, I'll be bitching.
Finally got to the BPL today, pictures to come eventually.
I've been on feel-good movie binge after my nice, long walk this morning from Brattle Book Shop to BPL and back. Things watched included an animated marathon of The Prince of Egypt, Kung Fu Panda, and Shrek 2. Yeah, I'm still a kid at heart.
I think it's time for GK marathon now.
