Dear Self

Dear Self,
You will stop planning a Band of Brothers modern-day AU in the tone of Burn Notice. You will stop doing it this instant, even if Speirs is such a Badass MoFo he deserves all the modern-day Spy/CIA/Operative AUs in the world. You have huge megafics in another fandoms to finish, at least 4 fanmixes left to do, and oh, yes, the screencapping.

In other news:

Yesterday was the first day of Spring here in my jolly old corner of New England and it got up to 76 degrees. Now, this is not the same as 76 degrees in CLT, where there tends to be, like, 100% humidity, but it was still wonderful. Of course, today it dropped by 30 degrees to upper-40s, but, again, New England. I, however, still got sunburn all over my cheeks and am now the not-so-proud owner of face-eating sunglasses. I feel like Bono; I needed a cheap pair with dark lenses and they were the only style T.J. Maxx had to offer. I'm a fan of John Lennon-esque sunglasses, which you would think are iconic and classic and therefore easy to find, but really is like trying to find the Lost City of Atlantis when you DON'T have your own personal Daniel Jackson.

March is almost over and I am freaking out b/c a) I really have to do my taxes, which is going to be fun since I don't know how I'm going to pay my rent, my student loans, and the federal gov't (hence the reason I've waited so long) b) my brother is turning 30 and c) one less month until the move. I pretty much decided I'm going to move around July 19-20; this is when I moved from Hyde Park in 1993, and I like to be all full circle like.

The already posted BoB fanmixes are now in their final forms, with the screencaps pics included and all the links present. I just have to finish the character mixes before the big masterpost. Then I can finally get insane project of music gathering, quotations, fandom, dvd-watching and Amateur Night at the Apollo screencapping posted to the relevant comms.

Now to watch Disc 2 of Ken Burn's The War

EDIT: I decided to do my taxes tonight as putting it off really won't make my life any better or less stressful. Anyway, due to the fact I worked two less jobs last year, make very little money, only earned income from one state, only lived full-time in one state, paid some grad school loans and interest, and Mass lets you declare your rent and MBTA costs, I am getting a refund from the state. And my return was just approved. I have joy over this, even if most of it is going straight to pay off my laptop. Finally. Now to wait and see if my Federal is going to get approved. If it does, 75% of that is going to Savings with the rest to pay down Credit Cards. And, okay, maybe a teeny tiny bit to buy the first season of Burn Notice. Maybe.

real life, spy speirs, i can't help my public history condition, band of brothers, bas and mas get you nowhere but debt, fandom, fanmix
