Written while watching, so a little insane.
Dear Castiel,
Check for God on the Jersey Seaboard. I am serious.
Honestly, I will be so upset if someone does not make a “Dogma” joke on this show soon.
“When you find God, tell him to send legs.” I LOVE BOBBY!
So, this week, I got Classic Rock, God is Lost, Bobby and Castiel in the same scene, One of the Four Horsemen which I have been waiting for since the Seven Deadly Sins, and most importantly, Bobby Fucking Singer. Also, Ellen. With Ellen slapping Dean. And Jo! Lastly, Rufus, who is awesome (I could make a Bill and Ted joke, but I won't).
Huh, War looks like a lawyer. That’s pretty damn funny. I am really pretty excited for Death (though I will cry if he does not have a horse named Binky), Famine, and Plague/Pestilence.
Except, War, dude, the Irish are not all “Irish” considering that the Northern Ireland/Ulster Irish consider themselves members of the United Kingdom NOT Ireland (both Protestant, Catholic, and Other) and they like it that way and The Troubles were mostly a Civil Rights Fight using religion/political views for division as opposed to skin color, but hey, SPN writers, I don’t expect you to know history and politics. Especially of the situation in Ireland. And, really, considering the fact that “Irish” is hard to define with the various invasions which make up the genetic line means that by a DNA level it is very possible that the “Irish” are everything from the first native peoples to Basque to Norman to Viking to etc etc etc. Anyway, again, I do not expect tv writers to have in-depth knowledge of a situation most people in this world do not understand beyond a basic Headline News level.
If SPN was on HBO/Showtime Rufus so would have said, “I am getting to old for this shit.” I love it when Murdoch shows up when you least expect. Go Lethal Weapon.
…okay, seriously, my CW signal fucked itself up for the last 15 mins. SO NOT COOL, BOSTON CW! I will need to buy it tomorrow off amazon. I got the gist of it, but the picture was screwed and the sound went out a lot. Why, why, CW, why? This is the one show I really look forward to each week and you pull this shit. You are harshing my mellow, CW.
Oh, Mount Doom and Ring jokes. I love it when fandoms collide.
I do like the fact that we see Sam struggling with his addiction. That part is actually real and universal. And it is also good to see Sam making a wise decision, to step back, with his struggle and his guilt, he really cannot be on the front lines fighting right now. Though I know the fangirls will hate this and blame Castiel.
In other news:
I sort of told off a group of political supporters this evening. Look, you can campaign for whomever you want, I honestly do not give a rat's ass, but when you and your buddies block all four ways of the main intersection in town and almost get me hit by an ambulance when I am trying to cross the street but have no line of vision b/c you are blocking me and every other pedistrian on ALL FOUR SIDES, then yes, I will tell you off.
Also: I have been listening to The Cranberries and The Counting Crows non-stop recently. Don't know why. Just that time of year I suppose.
