The drama continues

So, right, UMassBoston, you redefine WTFuckery.

Called the Fin Aid office today. Demanded to speak with a FinAid advisor or a supervisor. When asked why I said, "Because you just sent me a billing statement for money that was supposed to be there a month ago and I've called you on this five times."

So after being left on hold for 10 mins, I finally have an answer:

My funds were held-up b/c I went over budget. Aka the gov't approved more money for me than the school felt I should have.
The funds have been there since early september. (So, the Bursar's and the Fin Aid office, calls 1, 2, and 3 all lose at life.)
When asked why I was not told about going over budget, I was informed, "Well, you were only like two dollars over."
So, apparently, it takes near on a month to fix a two-dollar overage.
The money is supposed to be in my account now.
I still have yet to recieve notice that my check is ready.
I'm just glad I know where the money is.
Though really, two weeks and five or six phonecalls is a bit much.

I am sorely tempted to use those "Dean of Students" office hours and let said Dean have a piece of my over-frustrated mind. The fact of the matter is, I know I am not the only student going through this and I've had these battles every single semester. In-friggin-sane.

Missed the new CSI:NY last night. New NCIS was decent, though I so called the "shock" at the end. I can't wait for new Amazing Race on sunday.
