Grad school, it sucks

So, it's almost October and I still don't have my loan refund check. I haven't even recieved notice that it's coming. Yesterday I called the Bursar's office. They had no idea when it was coming. Then I called the Fin Aid office and the flat out moron who answered my phone said my money wasn't even there yet. I though this was really fucking funny since Direct Loans, the people who send out the money, had Sept. 2nd as the day for the funds to be released to the school. I called the Fin Aid office again today and was told the money is there and just has to "roll over" into my fin aid and then into the Bursar's office. God knows when I will actually get said funds, but as long as I have enough money to pay rent, and then live for the time in between paychecks, I'll be okay. Also, may I say how pissed I am that they are holding this money, money that is earning interest that I will have to pay for. UMB sucks more and more with each semester.

Also, one of my profs, the one I'm doing Capstone with said I wasn't signed-up. According to my stuff I am. So, big WTF there.

I really don't think I'll miss these days of uber-red tape and people who can't do their jobs. May I say, once agan, I NEVER had these problems at NC State and that schools is at least triple the size of this one.

Work was "eh" today. Someone was out, but we're kind of slow, so it didn't matter much. Met the new glass company people and they seem nice.

It was also one of the first real cold mornings in Wollaston. Leaves are starting to change, but they're kind of hard to see so close to the coast. I am joyous though; I have a little baby pumpkin which will be gutted and cut open soon, and I may even risk the smoke alarms for a quick few mins to see it lit up.

real life, grad school
