Tick tick tick

Time is flying by and I now have about two weeks before I fly to the UK. EEEEEEEKKKK!

Since there were only 10 seats left, I did buy my ticket for the Day tour from Dublin. On August 10th, I will go to the Boyne Valley and see Newgrange, the Valley of Trim and the Hill of Tara. I, personally, think it's an awesome way to spend a sunday in Ireland, but something tells me the catholic guilt will get to me and I'll be waking up early that morning to catch a Mass. My grandpa would slap me if he knew I went to Ireland and didn't go to mass at least once. (Every single time he's gone, he goes to mass. And then gets things blessed by the priests. And then gives them to us. I have two rosaries and one cross that have undergone this process. Why? B/c my grandpa F is weird and paranoid.)

In other news: Must slap younger cousin across the face when I see her again. She was taken to the house my grandpa F bought and paid for, the house two generations of my family lived in, the house I personally love and adore from Hyde Park, NY. My spoiled little brat of a cousin, who lives in a mansion, is almost 13 with an iphone, a digital camera, an ipod and a laptop, called said home a shack. A shack. Unfrigginbelievable. My uncle probably encouraged it too, since he always seems to forget that he too came from working-class roots. What a bunch of fucking snobs. And my mother wonders why I always find a way to avoid family dinners when I'm in CLT.

Speaking of Charlotte: RenFesting is def. on for when I go back in October. Anyone else going on Saturday, October 11th?

In packing news: I have finally begun to gather clothes, shoes etc. Then I realized that the August weather of Boston does not equal the August weather of the UK. I already planned on bringing a sweater (made the mistake last time of not doing this. But really, when you live in NC in July, you think everywhere in the world must be that hot and therefore, don't even remember what sweaters are) but I think I will take less sleeveless shirts and more t-shirts. Also, could not help but have a HGTTG flashback when I put my towel in my carry-on.

real life, clt, trip, renfest, london
