I fear the Vista. When I get word of where I'm going to school, I am buying myself a new computer and I swear it will be a Mac. Because, really, at least they still have a File and Edit button. I can't live without those either.

I've had this laptop since late August and I refused to use it until now b/c of my fear of the Vista. I keep opening paint b/c that's the only program with the nice and normal Edit button. I am so tempted to buy a Mac next time around, esp. if Dell doesn't wise up and realize people neeed things like File and Edit buttons. You can't just throw the rule book out the window when everyone has become used to them for decades now.

Damn this new technology, why do they keep changing things! Every time we get used to sth they change it! I'm thinking of buying a new laptop and I'm scared of Vista!!
Anyway, hang in there!
So Hillary won in N. Hampshire, I don't like her very much, she seems very cold, but then again she's going for president not for Miss Congeniality!
I'm just happy that dear Bush is leaving and I hope that things will get better, for you and the rest of the world!
I so wanted to see Eastern Promises but I didn't got the chance, so now I'm waiting for the release of the DVD, it can't be that far!

I hope everything goes well for you for the rest of the week,
take care,
Nima

I had to use Windows Vista/Word2007 for a paper at school, and I was so, so confused. I couldn't figure out how to do anything even though I'd just taken a mini-mester on Word 2003. It was awful. D:

I think all the cool word processors have Arial or some other sans-serif for their default fonts now. But I like serif fonts, so... :(

It really is such a shock to the system once you try to use it. I remember using the computer back when the screen was still black and the text green. I also remember using old Word Perfect, which switched to Winows 98, 99, 2000, 2003, XP all which have a basic template. Vista just throws that out the window with everyone left going, "Um, WTF, mate?"

I'm okay with Arial, but in my lovely world of Academia you have certain requirements for all papers: 1 inch margins, double-spaced, cover page, 12-point Times New Roman font. I opened up this Vista Word, couldn't find the place to set Defaults and was left going, "Please do not tell me I am going to have to re-set this every single time." Thank god I found the default options. ::sigh::

I'm sure, in time, I'll get used to it. Alas, I am still in the whiny and bitchy stage.

I heard about their appearance there. Go SGA! Sure, you beat out BSG but no biggie.

I agree too! If they could work out their differences for the greater good...but win or not this election year is pretty impressive. A black man and a woman who actually have a chance. That's epic and ground-breaking win or not ^^

But that's how you start a car anyways...automatic or standard, with the foot on the brake. The whole push button start yet still have a key thing I find very strange...

I think the only reason SGA beat BSG is because SGA has a larger and more vocal population of fangirls.

The fact that no matter who gets the nomination, Hiliary or Obama (b/c Edwards is so dead third in the polls, voting etc) history will be made. And that makes me happy. It is far past the time for America to step out of the box of WASP Middle-Aged Males. Largely from the South too.

I should have been more clear in my brake issue. Normally you can put a key to start the car, but not actually start it, and see the gas and
mileage (info I need to get when putting out and checking in rentals). I can usally do this without having to sit down in the car or taking more than 3 mins. With the Altimas, because of their lack of real keys, I have to sit down, put my foot on the brake, make sure the key is in the car with me, and then push the button just to check the gas and mileage. It only takes about 2 more mins, but you cannot imagine how rude people can get in a 5 min period while waiting for me to finish my work.
