Last night I got all the protective programs loaded or re-loaded onto the laptop; took about an hour and a half. Not too shabby. Now I need to clean off my data stick of those executables and pull Open Office off the CD and onto the stick so I can load that, too.
And the hunt is now on for an appropriate photo for wallpaper. Because the computer is a wide screen my usual preferences don't look right at all. Suggestions welcome.
I also started futzing with the layout on my cousin's ketubah. I need to do a little more resizing on the bottom two decorative bars, I think, and I need to resize and reprint the text blocks so I'll have the correct size comparison available. And I need to e-mail her Rabbi and send that text along so he can approve it and get me the Hebrew corrections I need for the first paragraph. (Dates, mostly, and a Hebrization of the groom's name.) I also now have some ideas now on how I want to handle applying the paint, so it isn't just flat color on the page. I'll be testing these ideas on scrap, of course, despite really wanting to just go for it without practice first. Since the patterns aren't in my usual style of, I'm thinking the practice isn't really optional at this point.
After that my tummy started to feel unhappy, so I skipped dinner. Around 9:30 I had some Alka Seltzer and ginger ale chaser and took myself to bed. I'm still not feeling particularly hungry this morning, but skipping breakfast really isn't an option.
Tonight, cooking for Baroness Mary's vigil. After I fnish cleaning the kitchen of course. (Fortunately, only about fifteen minutes of work to do that.)
