I went away to Blazing Swan (Western Australia's regional Burn) for the easter long weekend. I returned to phone coverage to discover that my partner's father had a third stroke on Good Friday. The news as of yesterday was that it was hemorrhagic but not as big as the second one. It mostly affected his ability to talk and swallow. He was just getting some of his speech back, but is now back to being tube fed and unable to speak. Two steps forward, one step back. Or vice versa. Regardless, the general trend is not encouraging and the impact on my life is not insignificant.
