Summary: It was a mystery.
Vast Adventurer bounced under an opalescent sky full of soft pastels. Judson steered as Mac navigated and Gabe was busy in the galley making dinner.
“!20 degrees west,” so Judson turned and waited until she spoke again, “70 degrees north for 3 miles and then drop anchor.”
Vast Adventurer sat as Gabe walked up the stairs with a covered tray. “Mac, grab the bottles of beer from the fridge.” He set the tray down to show dinner: a pot of Greek chicken and rice. There were bowls and spoons as well.
Later
Mac took everything back to the galley where she washed, dried and put everything in its place. They headed to bed while Vast Adventurer bobbed on her anchor. Morning came early so a quick breakfast before heading up to the deck. Crunch, crunch, crunch.
“What’s that?” as Mac looked at the deck. “Eggshells? What’s happening?”
Gabe looked up, “Geese in the rigging laying eggs. Watch out.”
They hurried below to hear eggs hitting the deck. After a while, it was quiet so Judson looked out. “They’re gone but the deck’s full of broken and unbroken eggs. Grab the unbroken eggs and then sweep the broken ones into the ocean.”
Much later
Judson pulled up the anchor while Mac took the helm while Gabe navigated back to Cabo San Lucas.
