I'm not ready to admit it, but I can see Snurf's body starting to change.  The clock is ticking, and we need to talk about what's coming next with her body before it surprises her.  Can anyone recommend some good resources for either me or her?

It's a bit disappointing to be poked in the arms 60 times only to find out that I'm not allergic to anything.  On the other hand, it's a relief to know that my symptoms are not caused by the dusty bookshelves in our bedroom.  Next step, a sleep study to see if my sleep is causing the symptoms rather than the other way around ( Read more... )

Ew. I think I've caught salmonella from the Peter Pan peanut butter recall. When my parents were over last night, my dad looked at our jar of peanut butter and said, "I think this is the lot that's being recalled." My company is stepping up enforcement of their eye protection policies. When I visit the plant, I'm supposed to wear approved safety glasses or goggles over my prescription glasses. Wheeeeeeeeee!  My brain is floating in a balloon... a white one with glitter... about six feet above my head.  Occasionally I tug on the string and bring it back to get some work done, but most of the time it bobs along happily.

When I go to write up the audits I'm doing today, I'll bet my notes make no sense whatsoever.

I picked up my new glasses yesterday.  They're close enough to the old pair that nobody has noticed yet.  Still, they're more durable than the old pair, since Junior himself, or something he owns, manages to bonk me in the face about once a week ( Read more... )

Yes, the kids' stomach bug hit me, too.  It hit so hard that I didn't leave the bedroom yesterday.  I stayed in bed, floating in and out of consciousness.  Today I have to watch the kids, so I'm vertical but barely.  I still haven't eaten since the half piece of bread last night.  So far Junior is keeping his breakfast in, though he's listless.  At ( Read more... )
