He was kind of worn. Playing nice to all the new people was ... well ... trying. He would have liked to have snarked at a few of them. "I like how Damion rolls in and new people start showing up," he commented as he eased into the room. "At least one newcomer, and rumors of another."

He crossed to the bed, sprawling gracefully across his lover since he was taking up so much of the bed.

"Hello to you too," he remarked, raising an eyebrow at the body suddenly strewn across him and trying not to think about the things he was going to do to the angel later.

They'd get to that. Eventually. Later.

"Anyone interesting?" he inquired, genuinely curious.

Newcomers were fun, sometimes. Like when they tried to punch you for offing people they knew on the other side.

He stretched out alongside Sylar, shaking his head. "Bumped into a Peter Petrelli in the hall, and there was some noise outside that makes me think someone else has shown up. Half our recruits have moved into the castle, so ... there are people, in the hallway."

That was going to be irritating. "Damion's talking about opening the dining hall. And throwing a ball. If I haven't already shared this with you."

Eyes closed, he rubbed at the bridge of his nose. "How's your day been?"

He'd stopped listening roughly after 'Petrelli'. Sylar tensed a bit, eyes opening fully.

"Peter Petrelli?" he repeated, "That's ... interesting."

The last time he'd seen Peter ... well, he'd been dead. Or so he'd thought. But if he knew anything about the Petrelli kid, it was that he absorbed the abilities of others in ways Sylar himself couldn't. And if he'd been around Claire, which he was also fairly certain of. Well let's just say it wasn't out of the realm of possibility.

Oh, shit. "Interesting ... good, or interesting bad?" he inquired as he pushed himself up onto his elbows, tilting his head to regard Sylar.

Though from the tension, he was going to guess interesting bad, and he wondered if he'd have to put someone else on Damion's watch-to-hit list.

"Is he going to be a problem in general? Or a problem to you?"

"I'm not sure," he admitted, "Last time I saw Peter, he was dead. Or I thought he was. He's got a curious talent of absorbing the abilities of those he's met; it's possible he managed to get one that allows him to heal himself. Depending on what's happened since then, it could be ... well, interesting."

He wasn't even entertaining the idea yet that Peter could be from a different timeline or anything. It was complicated in ways he wasn't entirely certain of, really.

"Abilities," the angel repeated. "Do they have to be the same sort you can steal, or since he stood near me ... he can do what I can do?"

Which ... the angel wasn't inclined to fully disclose. At all. Ever. He had to keep some surprises, after all ... though he supposed in the interest of winning, Damion would have to be told.

And oh, that grated on him.

"The kind I can steal, only he doesn't have to split anyone's skull to do it," he replied, "He mimics abilities, and I'm pretty sure he could lose them under the right circumstances. You don't have to worry about yours, though; he's not that good."

Still, he was pretty good, and Sylar was less than thrilled that he was here. Part of him was very inclined to go confront the guy, but depending on what he might have picked up since he'd last been seen, well ... Sylar wasn't too sure he could take him anymore.

The angel nodded slightly. That was ... well, interesting. He wondered if he should make the guy go stand next to all the people Sylar could steal powers from ... then decided that was something for Damion to decide.

Or something that might happen in its own time, anyway.

"Does he have an attitude problem?" he inquired. "Beyond the standard one that comes with people being dropped into a world to fight a war they aren't part of?"

“He didn’t,” he replied, “Or not one I couldn’t handle. More of the ‘woe is me’ sort than anything else. But … I had a stint where I didn’t see him for a while. Things could have changed.”

He had no idea, really, but when someone who was meant to be dead was suddenly not dead, things like that were more fluid. Sylar ran a hand through his hair, slightly agitated now. And, for the record, feeling markedly less special.

The angel bobbed his head in a nod before he sighed and eased off the bed.

He was certainly a lot busier with Damion in charge. "Should go tell Dami," he informed Sylar. "Before it becomes an issue and I get reamed for not having shared what I knew," he concluded.

Leaning over his lover, he claimed his lips gently, then a little harder before drawing away.

“Tease,” he returned, pouting slightly before he nodded, “You should, though, I guess. I’ll be waiting.”

He grinned a little and shifted a little so he wasn’t sprawled quite so widely on the bed. Sylar wasn’t nearly as relaxed now; Peter being here could complicate things. And he didn’t like complications unless the complication was him.

"I won't be long," he said. "I hope, anyway," he added with a roll of his eyes. "And Dami might want to come talk to you, if I haven't shelled out enough details to satisfy him."

Though that sounded kind of dirty, and the angel grinned slightly.

Though the thought of Damion satisfying himself with the angel's lover made him scowl. Not that he thought either of them actually would, but it wasn't as though it was completely outside the realm of possibility.

“Great,” he said sarcastically, “That sounds exactly like what I had planned for the day. Talking with the big guy.”

But he supposed it couldn’t be helped; Damion had a right to know. He hadn’t even seen the Petrelli kid yet, and already he was causing him more trouble than Sylar was comfortable with.

"Maybe you'll get lucky and what you've told me will be enough," Nenael murmured before he lifted a hand in a wave to Sylar.

Despite his bitching, it was kind of nice to be doing something for once. To be busy. To feel like they were going somewhere with this damn war.

Turning, he stepped out of the room, flicking his wings a few times teasingly before shutting the door behind himself.
