even more magically delicious
Oh, I should mention all the things that are going magically well through no effort of my own.
the Boy has discovered that it is preferable to be clean. He is actually showering every night, not just sitting in the bathroom with the water running, but really getting clean. The other night he even asked me to get him some more potent deodorant. Up until now I couldn't even get him interested in wearing the deodorant that I bought, much less asking me to purchase more. I think there is a person of interest involved. The Kids room smells much better lately.
The Girl is loving school. She has been appointed conflict resolution manager in her grade and she is also doing great at math. I don't know where she got that from. I can barely balance the checkbook. Her reading skills are improving a lot, too, but she still doesn't like to read unless it is a cookbook or a word problem.
For the past week The Kids have been mostly agreeable, with me and with each other. There has been very little fighting and lots of cooperation. At least for a short spell adolescence is not rearing its ugly head. I am just trying to enjoy it while I can.
Now I am really going to get that bowl of Lucky Charms.
