drive by updates
We found a place out in Long Beach. It's way more than I am used to paying, but it is just (barely) in the range of what we can afford. My second graduate school class begins in 20 minutes. I'm not going to be able to get my gas turned on until the end of the week. As hot as it is I am not so much loving the cold showers. I won't have internet or telephone in my house until next week.
It has been a tough couple of weeks but I think we are finally falling into a groove. I haven't gotten lost in almost a week. I have (mostly) gotten over my fear of the freeways. I am going to have lots of work this term, but I have an awesome cohort and I am so lucky to be in a supportive program. Without them I would have dropped out before classes even started. I am feeling a lot of love here. My cup is overflowing. Already I have three offers from folks willing to do childcare for me. I wasn't sure at first, but I know now that I am in the right place.
More later. I am at the computer lab and I need to get to class. I miss you all. I want to know how you all are, but I don't have time to catch up right now. Give me the high points in comments. We'll get all caught up next week.<3
