My neighbor wants to give me a free 1986 BMW 735i. Pretty rocking eh?
Yeh, except that it has some sort of braking problem that I haven't even seen in action because I can't even get the thing started to get it out of her driveway. When She first offered it to me a few weeks ago, I asked her to go and get an estimate on what it would be to get it fixed. I don't know  much about cars but I don know that BMWs are expensive to work on. Well, she never did that. She woke me up this morning to tell me that there is a place across town that will do a 1 hour diagnostic for $80. I could have picked up the yellow pages and found that out for myself. So now I think she expects me to pay for the diagnostic, which is kind of shitty because I asked her to do that. But then I guess she is giving me a free beemer so I can't complain. I just wonder if it is worth the trouble. At this point the thing could cost me $130 and I don't even know if I can afford to get it running.
Then again, it seems like two crappy cars might be better than one crappy car. Maybe between the two I can get something that is slightly less crappy. On the other hand, I could just end up with two cars that I have to pay to dispose of. I just don't see my car-- the 1983 ford fairmont-- making it in L.A. If I could get the bmw running on the other hand... Who knows, I think I am about to get screwed over. I think I need to tell her I don't want to take her car. I don't need another headache right now.
