Whenever I go to the supermarket these days, I find myself rendered unable to think of anything I might want other than the following items:
  • Young leaf spinach
  • Rocket
  • Cucumber
  • Yellow peppers
  • Potato Salad
  • Baking potatoes
  • Quiche Lorraine
  • Tinned tuna
  • Magnum Triple Chocolate Ice Creams
  • Apple & Blackcurrant Squash
  • Balsamic vinegar (for the salad) and/or mayonnaise (for the tuna), if supplies at home are running low.
That's it. Every day for the past few weeks, except when I've gone for dinner elsewhere or my housemate has cooked something for me, I have eaten some combination of the above for my evening meal and usually for lunch as well at the weekends. I am in a rut. And even more worringly, my potato salad intake is on the up. I used to be able to spread a medium pot of it across three dinners, but now more often than not I helplessly eat the whole pot in one go. My willpower it no match for its creamy, chivey, mayonnaisey goodness. I didn't even like the stuff two years ago, and now I can't shovel it down my throat fast enough.

On the plus side though, I have succeeded in drastically cutting down my Diet Coke intake. It got to the point where I was on four or five cans a day and it was all I was drinking. I HAD to have one first thing in the morning to wake me up, one with lunch, one in the afternoon at work and at least one in the evening at home (sometimes two). But this disgusting display of caffeine and aspartame gluttony is now ended. I have ONE a day, usually with lunch and that is it. It's been surprisingly easy to stick to so far (nearly a month) - the rest of the time I just drink water, or squash (see list above) if I want something sweet. Go me! It does render my "Diet Coke Addict" icon redundant though, and so I am bringing it out to play one last time before laying it to rest permanently. I hope.

Happy birthday dualbunny! You are both an insanely talented vidder *and* a lovely person - I hope you have a wonderful day :-)
