A Memorable Day in America
A long day, but a good one! I arose early (before dawn in California) to watch Trump leave the White House for the last time. I was smiling from ear to ear. I was nervous about predicted assassination attempts on Biden in DC today, so I had not slept very well. But the day turned out to be calm and peaceful.
Biden and Harris were sworn in at 9 am without incident (*whew*), so I went back to bed for a while. I feel like a big weight has been removed from our collective chests. What a burden we've endured for the past four years! Plenty of PTSD to go around. Trump made all of us feel abused and emotionally beaten. What a cruel man. Good riddance.
So now we get to move forward. Thank God.
