WHO: Adam (
fidespunica) and OPEN!
WHAT: Making the next move
WHERE: All over Rivelata
WHEN: In the lull in the rain, just after the boat departs.
Adam had seen talk of an adventure over the journal. They had seemed so very intent on exploring the area around them, of finally leaving the island in some way. It was a futile effort. It seemed to be one more based on emotion than logic. It didn't matter to him either way, though. It was merely interesting to see how they acted.
Now, it was his turn to take action.
He was thinking of alternatives for his plan when the heavy rains let up. Truly fortunate, it was. He wouldn't let the chance go to waste. He set off under the cloak of his spell, carrying a bucket and brush. The bucket was filled the red paint- a deep hue, one that virtually every living thing knew all too well. Of course, actual blood was preferred, though the uncertain weather made such a thing much too difficult. No, the paint would still do. If you knew where to press, it was easy to make people grow weary and show fear.
Quick steps brought him across the doors of the houses in the city. He made fast gestures with the brush, making large diagonal lines across the fronts of houses. The spell that concealed him also applied to the paint, which was in his hand at the time. He mentally re-cast the spell on himself as needed. And, while the older spells wore away, the marks became visible against the wooden and stone walls. Seemingly random houses were marked in the shade of blood, when they were ones he knew very well. Homes of those who had arrived as foreigners to the city and had yet to find a way home.
He worked quickly and precisely. It wasn't long before the entire city was marked, every off-worlder now put on display for all to see.
Every foreigner now ran the color of blood.
