WHO: King Alastair & Jan Valentine.
WHAT: The king is frustrated by an unknown source meddling with the Rivelata people, and Jan's vanishing and reappearing act might be a lead.
WHERE: The prisons.
WHEN: Backlogged to shortly after group two's adventure.
Alastair had heard whispers of strange happenings to a few people, but at first, he had paid it no mind. Wasn't that what this island was famous for, doing strange things to its inhabitants? It wasn't something he could control. He continued on working on the solution to those imprisoned... until things had hit closer to home, and the man was forced to be confronted with this little issue.
His prisoners had vanished.
Both of them, gone without a trace, one a day after the other. He was frustrated by their disappearance alone, yes, but his suspicions of why made his mood worse. There was no direction for him to pursue -- not until one of the two men had shown up again, right back in his cell and apparently not knowing how he left or got back there.
Suddenly the king's anger had a path to follow.
Research on his own was no longer going to work, so eventually, Alastair was down in the jailhouse himself with but two guards at his side. He made his way to the holding cell of the one whom fate changed its mind on, quietly stopped in front of it as his guards hung back with a wave of their king's hand, and peered in past the bars to the occupant inside.
"Jan Valentine." His voice was even, but the look in his eyes suggested he did not feel quite as composed as he sounded. "You are going to tell me all about your adventure, aren't you?"
It wasn't a question.
