WHO: Edward and Alphonse Elric. Also open to Ling.
WHAT: A joyful - if somewhat confusing - reunion.
WHERE: Halfway(ish) between the docks and the Elric household.
WHEN: The day of Ed's return.
Ling may have beaten him there, but Al was making fast tracks towards the docks, weaving in and out of people with reckless abandon. He'd managed to keep his feet thus far, but he wouldn't be surprised if he went head-over-heels sometime in the near future. But that didn't matter now - nothing mattered but getting to Ed as quickly as possible, because he was back, he'd kept his promise, and Al should never have doubted.
Ed always kept his promises. Always. Even if it took a little while.
He probably should have expected something, though. If only because he knew about people losing their memories when they returned, coming back from different times, even - and Ed hadn't known where he was, had he? Al probably should have guessed that something else was up, but he couldn't even be bothered to think about anything but Ed, and seeing him again.
Which meant he was in for what might have been the surprise of a lifetime when he finally met up with his brother and the prince.
