What makes a man walk away from his mind? [event // closed]

Jan 23, 2010 02:53

WHO: Ashelia B’nargin Dalmasca [dynast_queen], Godot[hellsbrew], Paul Reid [emerald_sting].
WHAT: Event!
WHERE: Ruins.
WHEN: January 22nd - 25th.

The sun was slowly setting, casting it’s last rays of light over the large walls and pillars that held up the ceilings of the pathways all around them. It looked almost to be some sort of incredibly bare, but potentially formal, home. At least, despite the lack of ceiling. What appeared to be windows with no glass(small openings?) were lined up high on the walls, with some greenery growing out of them.

There was a fireplace, dim and flickering it’s light through the shadows on the floor. It was almost reduced to coals, save for the occasional flame.

Drawings in hieroglyphic art was littered across one corner of the room, the rest barren of any nicks or scratches. There were various things, and if one could figure out the order, it went from a shooting star to a small child that looked like he was being helped up and lead along by an older, taller man. There were plenty of other little details, until it finally came to a stop with the young child(now a young teen, it seemed, from the changes in how he was drawn) standing beside the man. There was writing along with it, but in another language.

On one side of the room, there was a statue of a young boy that may have been familiar to some. Cloth robes were cast over the stone form of the young god, Aisling.

On the other, there was a statue of a taller man, cast in similar robes as the statue across from him. It was an unfamiliar face, that much was clear.

There were statues of large, cat-like creatures in each corner of the room. Despite being what they were, decor, they were still carrying elaborate gold rings around their necks and paws. Perhaps that wasn't the strangest part, though. What was, however, was that there were identical animals leisurely prowling in the shadows -- live ones.

There were two; enormous, black cats with dark grey spotting. Their eyes were a bright blue, standing out in a bizarre contrast against the rest of their bodies. Their chests and the tips of their tails were dotted with blotches of white, but seemed to fade to the dark grey spotting on the rest of their bodies. They were both emitting soft growls, some form of communication.

In the shadows of the doorway that lead to somewhere deep within the structure, the silhouette of a man stood, waiting.
