A New Adventure Awaits... )
A boat had docked, the sound of people chattering catching her attention. The petite maid stepped closer for a better look; it was very odd to have Arrivals enter Rivelata at such an hour.
A commotion as a tall blonde man strode from the ship; another man soon confronted him atop...a coffin? Molly blinked, unsure of what she was seeing. The blonde man was clearly someone of great importance- the way he held himself and the way he dressed belied an aristocrat.
Keenly feeling her place in the social hierarchy, she did not hesitate to step forward and fall into a deep curtsy.
"Good evening Sire. Welcome to Rivelata." She didn't dare to meet his eyes, only speaking to the ground before she slightly raised her head. "If you require assistance I will be happy to provide it."

There was something about Sylar that was keeping his attention but there was no way he was going to pass up a pretty lady either.
"Ah, good evening. Thank you I believe this man was actually about to explain exactly what's going on here, but your assistance would be very much appreciated." Lestat smiled sweetly inclining his head so his gray eyes showed just barely above his violet tinted glasses.

Daring a second glance at him, she caught sight of his eyes briefly and the blush on her cheeks deepened. His eyes were so...odd. As though the night did not affect them at all.
"May I offer you a place to converse that is far more comfortable than the Docks, Sire?" Molly managed to inquire after a moment.
Reply
"...baggage." Lestat finished casting another smile at the girl.

"Well as she said, the first thing you should know is that this island is called Rivelata." He glanced at the maid again, just making sure she wasn't someone he knew, and luckily she didn't seem to know him either. "People like us are pulled from our worlds and trapped here. No one knows how or why."
"You should also know that if you have some sort of special ability, it might take some time to get back." Reaching down, Sylar grabbed the coffin. With the help of his Telekinesis, he lifted it like it weighed nothing. "But they do come back."
He turned his attention to the maid. "Where are we heading?"

"There is an Inn nearby," Molly pointed out, "whose owners I am well acquainted with. They will give you lodging for a day or two until you have found a more permanent residence."
It was hard for her to lead them when she was used to remaining ten paces behind for propriety. Her sense of duty was greater than her shyness, however, so through the quiet, sleeping city she led them to the Inn.
"Would either of you like for some supper to be prepared?" The maid asked them innocently as she offered Lestat his room key.

Lestat walked in silence as they headed towards the inn, taking in the night scene of the city. It didn't seem particularly busy at this hour which could prove to be quite boring but if there was some way to get to his money....his money....
"I don't suppose there's access to any sort of modern bank around here is there?" Sylar at least looked as if he was from Lestat's era so there was a good chance he knew what he was referring to. Hell if this place was actually still on terra firma in a time that was Lestat's own there was at least a chance he could access some of his funds.
When he was asked if he was hungry Lestat's gaze instantly fell to the maid's throat, but it would hardly be proper to take her vein here. Besides he really wasn't that hungry. "No, but you have been very helpful."

"There should be some money tucked between the pages in your journal." At least there had been when Sylar had arrived, but that had been a while ago. "Unfortunately, that's it. No real banks around here, and absolutely no way of getting stuff like that from your world. Gonna have to work somewhere to make some more money if you need it."
Sylar noticed the glance Lestat gave the maid, almost laughing at the invitation she had unwittingly given. "I'm fine as well, thanks."
For her own sake, it would be best if the maid left now. Sylar really could care less though. He didn't know the girl, so she meant nothing to him. Even if he had known her, it probably wouldn't have changed how he felt. Most of the people who knew him before hated him now, or thought he was dead.
"So where should I put this?" He said, shaking the coffin a little to show what he was referring to.

From past experiences she knew when she was no longer required and through their answers she ascertained the moment to leave.
"The staff here will attend to your needs should you require something later, Sire." The maid offered politely. "And any needs you may have, too, sir."
"If that is all, then I humbly bid you both goodnight." She fell into a deep curtsy once more before tucking her mantle around her shoulders and leaving.

"You can place that over there." Lestat said gesturing to a spot on the far side of the bed and furthest away from the window. While the coffin was quite literally air and sunlight tight he really didn't want to take anymore chances than necessary. He wasn't particularly looking forward to getting tan that quickly on this island. Hell he really didn't plan on getting tanned at all, once had been more than enough for him.
"Hmm...I see..." He turned to the made the frown now falling into a slight pout and then a small smile. "Thank you once again, I hope I have the pleasure of seeing someone as lovely as you a second time." Lestat continued to smile to himself as the maid left. Molly her name had been...at least it seemed his ability to read people's thoughts were still present if not toned down.
He turned back to Sylar and moved over to the bed taking a seat and crossing his legs. He regarded the man closely still wondering about him there was certainly something criminal about him you could see it in Sylar's eyes. Lestat's face broke into another smile as he looked at Sylar wondering for a moment in a close-minded way just what this man's blood would taste like.
"So...I'm supposed to find a job here to actually support myself?"
Reply
"Just write in the journal and ask who's hiring." This was probably the first time Sylar had actually had to explain how all this worked. "It acts sort of like chatroom on a computer." Did the man even know what a computer was? He supposed he should explain a little more. "Basically if you write in it, everyone else can see what you've written and can respond to it by writing in their own journals, which then you'll be able to see the responses. It can record as well if you press a page and talk into it."
Sylar glanced back and caught Lestat's gaze. He recognized that look, something no smile or attitude could hide, it was hunger. He was similar in that constant longing to be filled, only what he was addicted to was quite different.
"I had a friend a while back who appeared here in a coffin similar to yours." Alucard if he remembered the name correctly, which he was sure he did. It was hard to forget someone who had drank some of your blood, that and how his presence had made even the shadows seem bright by comparison. "He wasn't here long, but he certainly made an impression. Most of his kind seem to. The vampires here don't seem to be able to keep a low profile for long. Either that or there are a lot more here than I think and I've only noticed the really outspoken ones."

"I see...so there are others of my kind around here? Do you know them as well?" He didn't bother asking about Sylar's friend since by the sound of it he wasn't here any longer. At the least if it had been one of Lestat's associate's it didn't matter if they weren't here any longer.
"It seems this really is an interesting place..." Lestat said quietly to himself. He shifted his gaze out the window though he kept his other attentions still on Sylar. It bothered Lestat that he couldn't really pick up Sylar's thoughts. Even when he tried to go beyond Sylar he couldn't hear much of anything else except for the 'normal' sounds of life. The people breathing and moving around in the room next door. Sylar's own movements and the pounding of his heart, but of Sylar's thoughts Lestat could hear nothing.
It was annoying. Especially since he'd already had to do without his abilities not too long ago. He'd been overjoyed to be back in his own vampiric skin nevermind his feelings afterwards. The Vampire Lestat always came back.
"I don't suppose there's anyway to get your abilities back faster?"
Reply
"It certainly is. It's got people of all kinds with all sorts of abilities, and even has gods that love to screw with our lives." He'd managed to avoid most of the recent happenings, but there was no telling when those saddistic deities would strike. "There's also a place in the forest where vampires can slake their thirst. It's apparently a fountain that is filled with blood instead of water. If you're interested, then once again just ask Selene. If you prefer fresh meals, then try to make sure she never finds out about you."
"Unfortunately, there isn't." He'd been annoyed at the loss of his abilities as well, but that period was over. He hoped he would never have to deal with that feeling again, especially since he had added so many new ones to his collection. "On average it takes about six months for people to get their abilities back to the level where they were at before they arrived."

He looked back over at Sylar taking in the other male again. He wasn't particularly unattractive, which made him all the more appetizing, and he seemed well spoken. There was that gleam in Sylar's eye the one that would make most human's nervous but just attracted fiends such as Lestat. He smiled again deciding that Sylar might be fun to play with before taking a bite. If this Selene was going to be a problem well then, best she never finds out.
"So...you seem like you know what you're doing here....care to show me around some? If not tonight another day?"
Reply
"I wouldn't be the best for that job. I haven't been keeping up on a lot of the new developments, so I'm sure there are others much more suited to do that." He walked to the window, trying to decide how much longer he should stay here. "Just ask in the journals, someone will undoubtedly respond."
Sylar thought to himself that it probably wasn't the best idea to turn his back to a vampire, but he wasn't too worried. Lestat was a new arrival, he didn't stand a chance if he decided to attack. Besides, it wasn't like the vampire could kill him.

And he smiled when the single wick lit. It took a longer time and a bit more concentration than he was normally used to but the point was he could still do it.
"Why do you seem so reluctant?" Lestat asked focusing his gaze on Sylar's back. He looked over the other male's body and decided that for the age Sylar was rather physically attractive not particularly muscle bound but you could tell that there was a strong physique under the cloth. It always seemed a curiosity to Lestat how preferred appearances changed over the years. "You were kind enough to explain where we are would it be that much trouble? We could always wait till later in the night, not as if I'm passing out." Lestat grinned this time keeping his fangs concealed.
