[Even if Apollo had realized that the kid she challenged to a race to the docks had the gift of super speed, she would have still challenged him. Why? Well, because she was an unfair douchebag who was already lounging around on the top of a little pile of crates on the dock the arrival boat always came to, laying on her back and taking in what sun she could without having to even lift a finger in order to win this "race".
