WHO: Erza [
thetitania] and OPEN.
WHAT: Sparring.
WHERE: Right around the outer reaches of the jungle.
WHEN: Today until...forever. No posting order, you can respond quicklog or regular prose format, whatever's your fancy. She's wanting a fight, but she might be coaxed into talking or getting out of the rain before she catches the flu. :<
"Exquip, Heaven's Wheel!" The fog obscured the figure in the jungle well, but her voice cut through the shower of rain. There was a flash of red hair and sound of wood splintering every few seconds or so, a shimmering of metal in the poor light.
"Exquip, Flame Emperor!" Nothing. Erza cursed under her breath. She could scarcely exquip her weapons, and armor for now seemed nigh impossible, it seemed. She swung with her weapon and splintered another tree into kindling right before she tried another method. "Exquip, twin swords!" The familiar smoke gathered around her sword, and she was delighted to see the twin swords in her hand a moment thereafter...though they did appear to come slower than usual. Still, it was progress. She hadn't had much luck before now. It was much more taxing to summon her weapons than it had been at home, but she'd been expecting this. The antimagic barrier was more than a nuisance, it was taking away something that mattered very much to her.
What was the Titania without her armor? Without her magic, she was...
Her thoughts returned to the previous week, and she cut into another tree with particular vehemence. Without her magic, she was weak. And she couldn't be weak anymore...she had to be useful to her nakama, even in this place. "Exquip, axe!" Her movements with each weapon was highly skilled and stylistic, more like a dance than battle practice. "Exquip...spear!"
Even in this place, she had to be strong. Even...
"Exquip...longsword..."
She leaned against one of the trees that hadn't been damaged too badly during her practice and took a few deep breaths. Sweat beaded on her forehead, and she wiped it away with the back of her hand. Her armor felt unpleasantly heavy, as did the sword in her hand. But she would get up in a moment and begin again.
She'd train until she couldn't move anymore, if she had to.
