Lelouch was... concerned. It seemed that people were, for no apparent reason, falling into comas, and while the last thing Lelouch wanted now was to be dragged into yet another conflict, he had to admit, the nature of the affliction seemed, well... suspicious.
It didn't help at all that one of those affected as Aino Minako. He had been informed upon arriving that he was once quite close to the girl-- close enough that he had entrusted to her carry on his business in case of his departure. And yet now, while friendly, she seemed... distant, perhaps to protect herself from getting harmed again, should he disappear once more and forget Rivelata. It was a regrettable state of affairs. When he had found a second chance, a second life here, he had hoped he would be able to do for his friends and family what he had not been able to before. He had hoped to protect them from being hurt by him; it seemed in her case, it was too late for that. But still, he felt he owed her-- and Hino as well-- and so, if nothing else he could come and stay with them a while. Perhaps he would notice something the doctors had missed. Perhaps not.
He knocked before entering the room quietly and solemnly, a picnic basket on his arm-- not that he intended to have a picnic basket.
