WHO: Raine [wisehealer] and Magda [songinherheart] WHAT: A clinical check-up and meeting to be done after some beautiful singing. WHERE: Bardo's. WHEN: Evening, after this.
"Oh." Well, that was something unexpected. Either the woman was devoted toward her work, or she just didn't let the illness get her down. Either way, she was the type of patient that usually worked hard towards getting better, so Raine smiled. Those were the patients that pulled through, in the end. "Well, then I can start right away. I'm from a world quite different from here, so my healing might be considered a bit unorthodox. Please don't be alarmed.
"For the fatigue I can use either the Heal or Cure spell, as both will imbue the target with renewed health. Cure lasts longer, but if I visit you at least once a week it shouldn't be a problem to use Heal-- unless you get tired at different levels. For example, if you don't know how badly fatigued you'll feel during the course of the week. Both Heal and Cure should also stop the pain, but only for around a week, depending on how often and badly they usually affect you.
"For feelings of weakness and any other physical symptoms, I can use the Restore spell. Restore not only cures general sickness and poison, but it will also give you a limited immunity to general bacteria.
"With another spell, Keenness, I can also boost your focus, but this spell lasts much shorter than the other spells. I would give it two days, at most.
"I know no spells for insomnia, but I recommend meditation and perhaps drinking warm milk or a mild tea with honey before going to bed."
Magda felt relieved when Raine didn't question her. She smiled back at her, gratefully and listened to what Raine said carefully. Magda had never witnessed anyone performing magic, but it sounded like Raine had some techniques that might be able to help her.
"The entire illness is somewhat unpredictable. I've noticed that the symptoms seem to get worse when I'm more tired. The more active I've been, the longer it takes for me to recover afterwards. Even when I'm exhausted, I still have insomnia. I've found a couple of herbal remedies that help me sleep, but they only work sometimes. Whatever you can do will help."
Raine thought to herself. The insomnia sounded like a problem, if it affected Magda even when she was exhausted. The body needed to rest after tiring itself out, and insomnia could severely limit its capacity to not only restore itself but to even continue working. But she had no spells that could directly take care of it.
"I'm afraid I don't have anything that can take care of the insomnia right now, but let's try the general healing first, and you can tell me if you feel any better." She hefted her staff with two hands. "I can start right now, if you're ready. It won't hurt, and I don't even need to touch you."
