If there was one thing that could get him royally screwed - and not in the good way - it was that curse. While Zidane was, at the heart of him, a man, and while he did from time to time have some lewd and probably inappropriate thoughts, he was a decent man, and he more often than not had the sense to censor them before they were made public. Thanks to the curse, however, every tendency towards public decency was moot, and soon enough the more male portion of his brain was out on the journals for everyone - and worst of all, Dagger - to see.
But if there was one thing about Zidane, it was that he knew when he'd screwed up. He knew he had to make amends, to make it up to Dagger somehow, not only because he loved her, but because she deserved to be treated right. And as her... guardian, companion, boyfriend? - wasn't he supposed to be the first one to do that?
So here he was, ducking his head into the cute - nice, he reminded himself, he wasn't supposed to be looking now - girl from the journal's sweets store.
