Yuuko arrived on the beach an hour after she had spoken to the queen through the journals. She and Mokona had spent the time in between preparing. Yuuko was dressed in her costume, and had brought the crystals and her shikomizue. She was well aware of the danger, but had no intention of simply handing over the crystals.

She found the scribe easily enough, with his stack of books. She approached him.

"You must be the scribe the queen spoke of. My name is Yuuko Ichihara, and I am in possession of two crystals."

When Mokona found the crystals with Yuuko, it knew that there was something huge tied to it. The crystals were not mere jewels for they possessed unimaginable power, or so Mokona could sense.

Its suspicions were confirmed soon enough, for the queen herself confirmed what they really are. Talks were held and a conclusion was reached: the crystals were to be taken back to the queen. But others who found the crystals were suspicious of the queen and so wanted to come along.

Of course, Mokona knew that Yuuko would be one of those people. And it knew that going with her was dangerous but danger was not something new to the white manjuu bun.

"Yes I am the scribe. Are you willing to part with those crystals for a time? Or do you not care if they are ever returned to you?" He tried to look as serious as possible. "This is a very important matter we are dealing with."

"I do not intend to part with these crystals," she said, her expression just as serious, "I will go with you to the Garnet of Journeys."

Kasa had not been fortunate enough to find one of those crystals, but she was curious. The queen and her minions might wish for fewer people to be present, but they themselves had stated that the mission would be dangerous, so they couldn't possibly object to having another person in their party capable of fighting. She had even faced the Godking before, and come out relatively unharmed.

She arrived on the beach, wearing the clothes that she usually wore for combat. The Resonance crystal and her journal were tucked under her clothes, she had her cross and chain in her pocket, and she was carrying her sword. She approached the scribe, a wicked smile playing on her lips.

"Well hello," she said. She cast an eye over the stack of books. "You're the scribe, I take it?"

"I am the scribe - and you are?" The scribe didn't see or hear a mention of a crystal so he wasn't entirely certain what this woman wanted from him.

He sat up a little straighter and looked around for others who might be with her.

"Kasandra Jill Warlock," she said calmly. She watched him glancing around.

"No one is with me. I'm just here to observe."

There was little reason Aly should keep the gem. It had served its purpose in her mind, granting her some odd vision, possibly useless. Who knew how fickle the magic of this world was, anyhow? She dressed in a long cloak and a blouse which billowed out, tied with a simple cord. The fabric was breezy and allowed the girl to walk freely, and more importantly, hide a dagger or two on her body.

She felt naked without them.

And so Aly filched a cheap black wig, did her make-up and appeared on the beach where her crystal had been requested. It was wrapped in a cloth and tied securely together. She could take no chances with it being seen. And so she walked up to the man with the books and smiled, keeping the gem hidden.

"Hello." A cheerful smile. "I believe the queen requested this." She set the hunk of stone on his desk, spinning a bit as she turned to leave. "Dearie, tell her it was a good person who requested nothing in return, won't you?" She winked, blowing the scribe a kiss in the air before flouncing off to walk back down the

"I- but- MISS!" The scribe stood up and tried to wave to the girl. "COME BACK!"

He looked extremely confused and then tried once more. "AT LEAST GIVE ME A NAME?"

She turned around, waving back at him. He might or might not have seen the wink at this distance.

"Anje, sweetie. If you need a name!"

Who wasn't even a real person, as far as Aly knew. He'd only asked for a name, so she gave him a name. Not that he knew the game she was playing, naturally.

Bruce hadn't commented on the journals, but he, like the others, had reason enough to distrust the queen with even the smallest fragment of power, if these were, indeed, the treasure Zikhadhara sought. Why he'd need a metal detector of all things was beyond Bruce, but it wouldn't surprise him if in Zikhadhara's hands-- or paws, as the form may be-- the powers of the crystal were magnified. At the same time, though, knowing what he did know now about the source of the Godking's power, and given what the Queen had told them... it would be foolish not to at least try to break the Godking's power on them by using the crystals to reforge the Garnet. If it were someone else asking for the restoration of the crystal, he might have been more suspicious-- and suspicious he was-- but the Child Queen, from what he had seen was impulsive, impetuous, uncertain-- none of which were qualities that led one to believe she would able to conceive of a power grab on the level that this might otherwise constitute ( ... )

Like the others, Lelouch had no intention of freely giving away his crystals, which were more than just undeniably valuable assets to him, put his last gift from Subaru, something given to him when even her words were taken away from her. Oh, how he would love to try to kill the arrogant Godking now, try to imprison him, to make the monster suffer for what he did to Subaru. How Lelouch would love to make him feel his mortality ( ... )

Minako arrived to the beach a little late, with her hair tied back in some semblance of order, wearing clothing both Neo-Queen Serenity and Rei had deemed appropriate beforehand. It wouldn't do to dress the wrong way if she was going to meet a servant of the Queen, or the Queen herself. She still wasn't sure about this course of action. She didn't really have a need for her crystal, and was wary of keeping it anyway, but she wasn't sure of Immaculada's motives either. She may have acted like an innocent child led astray, but there was still the possibility that something else was going on. Still, for now, she was the lesser of two evils, so to speak ( ... )
