Like the others, Lelouch had no intention of freely giving away his crystals, which were more than just undeniably valuable assets to him, put his last gift from Subaru, something given to him when even her words were taken away from her. Oh, how he would love to try to kill the arrogant Godking now, try to imprison him, to make the monster suffer for what he did to Subaru. How Lelouch would love to make him feel his mortality...

And yet, no matter what he did, no matter how he tried, he could not get the crystal wrested from the temple guardian to respond to him at all, let alone activate, and he knew better than to risk such a thing near the Godking when it was not assured and there was no way of guaranteeing that it wouldn't be turned against Lelouch or his friends, making them easier prey for the Jungle Tyrant.

And so, this was his alternative. It frustrated him to no end, that this was the only reasonable choice he had left at the moment, to have to execute another's plan, and possibly even not be there when the Godking was slain, to have his full vengeance stolen from him, to have that moment he'd waited and plotted and seethed for taken by another, another who had not the vendetta he did, who had not the grudge he did.

But there was no help for it. There were too many variables for the outcome to be known just yet, but he hoped to heaven there might still be a chance that he could have his revenge on Zikhadhara.

His voice was cold, clear, and precise as he approached the scribe.
