WHAT: Claire is a little upset at what happened to her, Sam goes to try his hand at cheering her up.

As much practice as Sam had with prying information out of people, giving them false comfort and making them trust him, and even being an occasional emotional basket case, Sam felt sort of out of his league with this one. It was weird enough to comfort someone that had been mauled by some sort of deformed creature, but it was within his comfort zone. Monsters and ghost were completely natural for him. Talking about them and making people believe they'd just been upset in the heat of the moment, and nothing had happened was a daily routine. Telling someone they'd be okay after they were kidnapped by normal people and had their blood taken from them for some sort of transfusion...
Well, he'd heard weirder, but it wasn't really something he could lie about and tell her would never happen again. In the case of the monster of the week, Sam and Dean killed it, end of story. The person they'd assured would never have to deal with it again. In this case, Sam honestly couldn't say what would happen. He could try to keep it from happening, but he couldn't go around killing people. If it was to protect her maybe, but not in advance. If they attacked her directly and it was in defense, but even then...
The moral dilemmas of late never ceased to unnerve some small part of Sam still buried away. The part that still saw a human life as a human life, not something to take away.
The big problem here was, he didn't even know what was bothering her the most. She'd said she didn't mind giving up her blood, so he assumed it was probably the kidnapping to begin with. Though, if something had happened that she hadn't wanted to talk about... Maybe it would be better to just let her say what she needed.
Quickening his pace as a flash of red from a door caught his eye, Sam a slight muttered comment to himself, trying to work out what to say when he arrived.
