Even though this was supposed to be a tropical island, it was cold, and Nill didn't understand why at all. She'd had to get a coat, and cut two slits in the back for her wings, which stood out against the black material in a bright contrast. She wasn't even at the park yet, but there was already snow all over her coat, and her stockings and shoes. But she would deal with it, because this was the first time she ever got to see the snow like this.
Nill hurried through the streets to get to the park as quick as she could, panting for breath and watching it come out in short puffs of cloudy air. She slowed to a stop at a bench, glancing around a little and tilting her head to one side as her white wings twitched to brush the snow off the feathers.
Was Honey here already, somewhere, or was she just early? The winged girl followed the snowy path through the park, glancing around quietly as she tried to spot him.
