WHO: The Goddamn Batman Bruce Wayne Clark Kent and Ienzo? Zexion
WHAT: Old allies, new beginnings.

It hadn't been a pleasant revelation for Bruce, but neither had it been an unexpected one, that Zexion and the Nobodies were up to something. It hadn't, as he had suspected, related to the sudden rash of disappearances-- it had contributed a little, but not much-- but it was as bad as he had thought it might be, and Batman always thought of the worst-case scenario.
Some good had come of it, yes. Zexion and Axel seemed to be regaining their hearts now-- for now, muttered a voice in the back of his mind, reminding him that it had seemed at times before as if he could trust Zexion at least moderately. But having hearts, having feelings again didn't absolve them of the crimes they committed without them.
There was potential for good in them both, he knew. Potential, just as there was in Poison Ivy, despite what she had done to him... just as there had been in Harvey Dent, a potential that even here had not been realized, through Bruce's own faults and inability to save him. there was a potential for good as great as their potential for evil, and, if their Organization's activities were any indication, that was great indeed.
But justice demanded they atone, or be punished, and he knew which he preferred for his... friend. Yes. He had come to regard Zexion as such, perhaps foolishly, perhaps not so foolishly. Only time would tell that.
Either way, shrouded in the darkness of the unlit Sanitarium, only the barest illumination from the moon available through the windows, he waited for the Nobody, even now preparing himself for every possibility... including a trap.
