He had never been approached for an interview to secure his position as a new Councillor, but he had seen no one else apply for the position, nor was he about to let that stop him.

The sudden arrival of a good number of his friends, as well as the odd happenings recently had brought back to the fore of his mind the need to get back home. It had been too long since he'd arrived here, and what did he have to show for it? Nothing. He was no better off than when he'd first set foot on these shores, save for having some of his powers back and a shop of his own.

Part of him, yes, was attached to life here, and protested the attempt to find a way out of all of this. But his heart belonged to those he had left behind, that much was true - even if he did not still feel a deep sense of duty to his mother after all these years of deception.

Besides, no harm could come of trying to garner a position of power for himself here. Power was something he was used to, in a way, whether it was earned or stolen. He had just as much claim - more, even, if you were counting age as a factor - as any of the others to a position on this Council.

So, when the call came for the Councillors to gather, Kurama went as well, knocking softly but firmly - a sound that would be hard to ignore.

Staring through the gates, Colonel Casimiro looked at the two men. "If you're here to serve the Queen and Chancellor Nacitah as new Council members I will lead you inside. If you have other business, it will have to be taken up on some other day."
