Courtney walked the streets with one ting one her mind. Survive! All she needed was to find someone she know. Someone trustful.

Courtney looked around. "Find the inn," she whispered over and over to her self. that was were Ssilo had said to go.

Hopefully soon Courtney would have lots of friends in this new land...

But until then she needed to Survive.

That was her state of mind when she entered the Market District. There where so much to see and smell, it overwhelmed her, so much she paused.

Paused to smell the sweet aroma of a bustling town... her new home?

This was a new beginning and Courtney was going to milk it for all it was worth.

Jilly paused to let a rather distracted looking young girl past her. The girl seemed a little troubled, muttering something under her breath. If this was Newford, she might not have thought anything of it.

But this isn't Newford, she reminded herself, circumstances here are different...

Never wary of strangers, Jilly lightly tapped the girl on the shoulder, "Excuse me... Are you all right?"

Courtney look over her shoulder. There was a woman standing there looking at her with a look of... was that concern? "Um... I think so."

Courtney looked at the woman in front of her, she seemed friendly. Courtney smilled, "My name's Courtney, I'm new here."

Jilly returned the smile, "I'm Jilly by the way. Sorry for stopping you out of the blue like that, but you seemed like you could use a hand." She paused for a second, glancing reflectively on the hand she had been using to gesture with. It was already stained at the tips with ink.

"Although I don't know how much use I'd be," Jilly said, laughing a little, "I just got here myself."

Courtney's smile widened, "Well then we can get through this together..."

Courtney thought about how she might be imposing herself on Jilly. she might be over stepping her self. "you wouldn't mind that would you?" She held her breath waiting for an answer.

"Sure," said Jilly closed the journal, getting up, "We just need to find the inn right? Hopefully it won't be that expensive..."

She felt the weight of the five silver coins she had found in her pockets when she first arrived. Even with the information in the guide, the amount still totaled out to $500. In her world, $500 could disappear pretty fast.

"Hey, Courtney," she said after taking a few steps, turning a little to look at the girl, "What are the job opportunities around here?"

"I don't know," Courtney stood up and walked to were Jilly was. "I think the best way to get a job is if you already know what your good at."

Courtney thought of the summer she spent as a CIT. All the children seemed to like her, and she love kids. Then there were her organizing skills. She did not know what she would do yet but there was an infinite number of things they could do. "If we put our heads toghether I'm sure we'll find something."

Jilly smiled again, "Yeah, you're right." She spun back around and began to walk briskly down the street, "Well first things first we find a place for the night! Then I hit up that guy about the studio, we find you a place and jobs for the both of us and we'll be set!

Okay, so she missed Newford. She missed the hell out of Newford and her cozy little apartment and all of her friends. But she was here now, right? Since it was obvious there wasn't anything she could do about it, she would make the best of it.

Courtney fallowed Jilly with a new bounce in her step. Every thing looked like it was going to work out.

She might be stuck in a weird place with no way out, but at lest she had so control of what happened. Now all she needed was for someone she know to show up so she could feel a little more at ease.

"We are one more step closer to having a life here," Courtney tried to smile at the thought as she walked with Jilly.
