WHO: Dagger and Zidane
WHAT: Catching-up needs to happen.
WHERE: Pier. Because ... ): Because?
WHEN: Some time mid-afternoon.
She kept finding herself drawn to the ocean.... Perhaps she hoped to see the tell-tail glint of Alexandria on the horizon, or hoped to overhear someone speaking of a way to get home. She saw and heard neither, however, as she gazed upon the shimmering, sun-kissed ocean below the pier. Perhaps there really was no way to leave this place. She'd be stuck here with Zidane for ... who knows how long? The rest of her life? Zidane....
I wonder if he'll show up. Sighing softly, she gently canted her head to the side and reclined her hands on the banister. How strange that fate would draw them back together. But why him? She didn't quite understand it.
...Maybe the others would show up some time.
So strange. Since meeting him, she hadn't thought much of him at all, but she longed for the company of him now more than ever. Maybe it wasn't so strange at all, when she thought about it. He was all she had here. ...But what had he done back home? What had happened? What had he been through? She couldn't begin to imagine.
As she gazed upon the ocean, she began to sing that all too hauntingly familiar song of hers. Surely, in the end, everything would work out.
