WHEN: Day 186 (Sep 29) afternoon, then evening
Nagi stepped up to the back door of where Dr. House had been keeping Schwarz in secret. After going out to the jungle, he'd been by here just once, only to discover that Crawford and Schuldig had left. Not disappeared, actually left to pursue a means of escape.
But then why would they leave Nagi and Farfarello behind? The question had been gnawing at the boy for weeks now. Then, not too long ago, he'd had a chance encounter with Bombay. All the while, he couldn't bear to stay with Dr. House, Daisya, and Farfarello; he'd been staying at their old hideout from when they'd first arrived in Rivelata. It felt like a lifetime ago.
Then, today, Nagi saw something in the journals that jarred his memory once more: Alphonse Elric, one of the people he'd gone to the Jungle with, had made some sort of discovery. He was a scientist as well as a Talent, who'd been using supplies he probably scrounged from who knew where. Probably with Batman's help, coming out of the Sanitarium, but Dr. house had scavenged through there before Batman found it, before the Queen's men used it a second time to hold Schuldig and Farfarello.
But he remembered another person who'd been hoarding supplies and not using them. At least, Nagi hadn't seen a journal entry from Dr. House in over a month, and even then that had come with approximately a 2-month interval before then.
Alphonse could use those supplies. If he needs them to activate his Talent, and Batman's working with him, then it's probably Council-related. I'll remind them what Prodigy can do.
He was taking an initiative. In his mind, this was another chance to show Bombay that even alone, he could accomplish things of value. It was a strange rationalization, but it worked for now, and lately Nagi was trying less and less to think about why he was doing things and focusing instead on just doing them.
So, without bothering to knock or speak, he forced the back door open - first attempting to open it telekinetically and then preparing to knock it down if it was locked.
