WHO: Remus Lupin (
very_literate) and Teddy Lupin (
technicolordiva)
WHAT: A father/son dinner.
WHERE: The Potter household, and then off to Bardo's.
WHEN: Day 184
This was undoubtedly the one thing Remus had been dreading nearly since the day he arrived.
As if it weren't strange enough to find out that he -- just a teenager himself -- had a teenage son nearly his age from the future, but he'd had to share a house with Teddy as well. Sit at the same dinner table, try to make idle chatter in the family room while staring into a face so very like your own. It was through Teddy that Remus learned that he himself really was quite an attractive person, or would be if not for all those terribly disfiguring scars across his face.
In all honesty, he probably had just as many questions for Teddy as Teddy had for him. What kind of woman had Remus procreated with? Was she pretty? Had Remus been a good father to Teddy? Had he managed to fall into the family footsteps and place in Gryffindor as well? Though given the circumstances, he had a feeling Teddy's questions were going to be a bit more pressing. What he was most concerned about were the questions that would undoubtedly spring from his recent relationship with Sirius. It seemed that everyone somehow knew of it already, and the younger generation were none too pleased with it.
But he was living up to his word nevertheless, leaning against the doorjamb outside Bardo's as he waited for Teddy to arrive. He had some notions about going ahead and getting a table for them, but it seemed like more of a bar atmosphere inside, and Remus simply wasn't comfortable with that.
