WHO: Sebastian Michaelis, Yuna, Mitsuru Kirijo, Soubi, and anyone else who applied for a job under an underage aristocrat.
WHAT: Sebastian interviews prospective employees. Hopefully, halfway competent ones.
WHERE: Phantomhive Mansion
WHEN: Day 123, all day.
(
I'm afraid I am remembering what it feels like to be very deeply angry... )
"You flatter me, Miss Kirijo; Master Ciel demands the best of me, and it would be shameful were I unable to fulfill the most basic of his requirements."
The girl was strong-willed-perhaps too strong-willed, though there were ways of getting around that as well. But, she seemed more than capable and judging from both her disposition and behavior on the journals, she’d be a dependable worker, and certainly...not the cook Bard was (or rather, wasn’t). And with the apprentice chef coming in later, she seemed the sort who could manage someone else’s performance as well. Sebastian made his decision.
"There’s no need to test your word; I have utmost confidence that one has comfortable with her abilities as you are would give only a just estimate of her skill. I confess, you’ve quite impressed me with your forthright demeanor."
Taking a sheet of parchment from the endtable to the side, Sebastian attached it under a clipboard-a Rivelata contraption he’d grown perhaps overly fond of in the past few weeks.
"If you like, simply fill out this form with the relevant information, then sign at the bottom. It is both a contract and a survey of your character and stance in this city. Normally, we would not require such information before hiring, but I’m sure you understand the volatility of the situation in the city. Master Ciel wishes no involvement with either the nobility nor the resistance in Rivelata, and any characters that may jeopardize our neutral position and place our livelihood in danger must needs be avoided. This document is an assurance; if you at any time do plan to align yourself politically or engage in potentially risky behavior your contract with the young master becomes null and void, and we cannot guarantee neither your pay nor your safety. If these terms are acceptable, we welcome you warmly into the Phantomhive Household. I’m sure you’ll find that Master Ciel provides well for his people, and rewards generously."
Sebastian set the pages courteously beside her, so as not to disrupt her eating.
"You need not give answer immediately, Miss Kirijo, nor should you feel obliged. What you write shall be completely confidential, and kept strictly within the walls of this mansion."
A closer look at the page and one would see there were indeed several questions written. At first simple things, like names, desired job, experience, etc. Then there were the more personal questions-things like background, opinion of the government in Rivelata, important acquaintances, aspirations, etc. Of course, all questions were optional, though some were obviously important.

Name? Mitsuru Kirijo. She was unused to putting family name second but knew that was tradition with most people here.
Job? She was applying for the position of chef, of course.
Experience? As she previously stated, she grew up posh. Her tongue was formed from day one to only recognize the finest of flavors and ingredients. Her nose could distinguish the minute something was prepared. Her eyes demanded presentation. There was no fooling her.
Background? This would be difficult. Nobody from her world or time were here alongside her, so her background may seem...odd. She grew up Kirijo; rich and well educated. Learned responsibility early on. Bilingual - Japanese and French. Studies at college level while in high school. A trained fighter. School valedictorian. Student body president. Student council president. Tactical, calm, cool, collected. She noted she was a member of a school club called SEES, but what they do was not noted in her writing. It was hardly political though and had little relevance to where she was now.
Acquaintances? She barely knew anyone here. She put down the names of a few friends though just in case any of them showed up someday. Minato Arisato, Yukari Takeba, Akihiko Sanada, Junpei Iori, Fuuka Yamagishi, Shinjiro Aragaki, Ken Amada, Koromaru, and Aigis were listed, all noted that they were in the same SEES club as her. She also noted that if any of them were to arrive to let her know.
Aspirations? Mostly in life, she just wanted to be accepted, especially by the only living member of her immediate family - her father. She was next in line to take care of the Kirijo Group, a responsibility she would take full on. But the more her life went on back at home, the more she realized she just wanted friends and to help the world somehow.
She signed at the bottom. Political uprisings were not her thing so The Phantomhive Mansion had little to fear. All of this had been in the most upstanding of penmanship as well. Mitsuru sat the clipboard back down and poured herself a second glass of tea, a look of satisfaction on her face.

"Excellent, Miss Kirijo. Thank you for indulging this caution of mine. You are amply qualified, and are now employed."
Politely, he extended a hand.
"As Master Ciel is, as I'm sure you've gathered, a rather demanding employer, I should like to begin your training as soon as possible. When would it be convenient for you to begin?"

"Would tomorrow be alright? If I need to move into the mansion, I will need a day to pack up and organize myself. After that, though, I am free most of my days."
She stood up and extended her right hand, offering a hearty shake to seal the deal.
"I look forward to the work, Michaelis."
