Lessa nodded at Pit's comment. Zeus sounded like Kylara, who, luckily, had stopped her pursuit of F'lar. "Ah, a herdbeast," Lessa said. "Sorry, the language here is very different from mine at home." She smiled lightly and bit into the mango, delighting in its wonderful flavor.

She shivered again, surrounded by all the green, but if Thread fell, which it apparently didn't here she reminded herself, she could always run inside. A pity the city would be ill protected if it did.

"Thank you," Lessa murmured. "It was kind of you to do this."

"Yeah, a herdbeast!" he said, "That's exactly what they are."

At her thanks, he shrugged. "It was no problem at all. My pleasure, really. If you ever want to talk to me... I'm not always here, but I'm around. And you can find me with the journals real easy."

He fluttered his wings. "You should meet my friends, too! Some of 'em are kinda... weird," he said, thinking of Hiruma, "But most of them are really nice."

Lessa smiled faintly. "I might sometime." It might help her to keep from being so... useless. She'd even forgotten to attend the jungle thing, she'd lost track of time inside her thoughts. "Thanks for all..." she gestured, the idea of keeping so much green around intrigued her. "This. It would be nice to learn to do all this, if I'm going to be here a while."

It seemed to Lessa that as she took up things, the ache and temptation seemed less of a burden, even less now that Pit knew of it and understood her loss.

"Sure keeps me occupied," he said. "Fighting the good fight, teaching and all that. If... if it wasn't for that I can't hear Palutena's voice, I'd almost call it an adventure," he said.

Lessa nodded. "Thank you." She murmured again, moving toward the stairs, licking her fingers clean of the juices. "Maybe sometime you can teach me..." She glanced around at the greenery, "This?" It was a Farmer's duty to do that, but as long as Pern stayed between what was the harm?

He laughed, scratching his head. "I'm not much of a teacher," he said. "And um, I'm also not much of a gardener, really... I can try, I guess." he said, smiling.

It went against almost everything she'd been taught. Scour the hilltops, no green should show. Green attracted Thread, and death. But this was a different world, as she was reminded daily. It had more lush growth than she'd ever seen. It was warmer than she would have liked, much like the Southern Continent, but she had accepted that.

Lessa's dark eyes glittered. For a moment, she looked like the twenty-something Weyrwoman of Benden Weyr, the rider of the largest dragon on Pern. She was devious as F'lar had said, and a way to surprise and unnerve people was to do the unexpected. F'lar would certainly be surprised that she had accepted greenery if he arrived. "That would be very nice of you." She smiled faintly.

Perhaps that would help the ever-present void.

"Then we'll do it," he said. "Though you should probably get some rest first, and some food. But we can start whenever you like. I don't have much to do."

Lessa gave him a half smile and walked to the stairs. "I- Thanks." She said, giving the Angel a nod. "I don't either. I'll keep in contact." She walked slowly down the stairs, some lost part of her happy to be doing something, even if it went against all she was taught.

At least the void was slightly less tempting now.
