I'm harmless, diplomatic, and careful. I'm not impulsive. I have yet to do anything outrageous or extreme against the court. I've suffered a fair few losses on this island, not just by my own bidding, but through Zikhadhara's actions, through things outside my power. Much like the Queen, I will not be aging anymore from this point on. It's part of my nature to help, and heal things, and be faithful to someone I can trust. I would like to know who I can trust. If a side has my support, at this point, given the person this place has turned me into, it would benefit a great deal. In deciding who to stand by, I would like to be able to know all the facts so I can make an informed choice.
'Outrageous or extreme' you say? Does 'harmless' include drawing strange diagrams in your journal when words could suffice?
You've certainly made some friends that disagree with how the Queen has been conducting Herself. Surely they will be angry if you side with Her Majesty?
Princess Garnet Til Alexandros XVII of Alexandria, Chancellor. "Dagger" is a name I used in my home land to pass as a commoner. However, if you wish to use it, please do so.
To speak with Her Majesty would be a great honour, Sir. I am concerned over the current state of Rivelata, among other subjects-- War is not a pleasant thing. I come from a land on the brink of turmoil, myself, as have others here. I wish to help Rivelata find peace.
I believe that those who wish for Council will be beneficial in aiding the Queen. We could share ideas, strategies, ways to better Rivelata and ourselves, and help us all come to a better understanding of all sides.
Again, I thank you and Her Majesty, whatever the decision.
Larsa Ferrinas of House Solidor, Crown Heir to the Archadian Empire.
Or at least I was, before I came here. I now approach you humbly as a new citizen concerned with the political events that have transpired since my arrival during the hostage crisis. Know that I am a Diplomat, and a strong advocate of Peace. I feel my past experience can aid in political dealings far more efficiently than trying to approach the palace wielding a rapier.
It gladdens me that the Queen has taken this step, and it will prove to benefit both her and Rivelata. There are many of us with sound minds learned in conciliarly methods, and I commend her for her wise decision. She will not find fools amongst those who truly wish for this Council to happen.
Your words give merit to your status, Master Larsa. However, I must ask in what regard you would wish to sit on the Council - what faction, if any, do you plan on representing to Her Majesty?
In addition, if you could provide examples of your exploits, that would be greatly appreciated.
I will begin with the latter, if I may. I have been involved with the Senate back in the Imperial City ever since I first sat with my brothers at five winters. My studies groomed me to take an active part in the Senate at the age of ten, with discussion and action regarding economy, health and warfare tactics.
When last in my world, I was in the middle of careful negotiations with a neighboring Empire about the sovereignty of a country under our jurisdiction. We are trying to avoid war back home, and here it seems we are too.
At least, sire, that is the side I seek to represent. Those of us who want none of this bloodshed, or perhaps as little as crucially possible, and the safety of those under the Jaguar King's call. I hope to represent those of us who wish a more open and less distanced relationship with Her Majesty.
I would not deem myself an anarchist by any means and I do not quite sit with a revolutionary either.
As an Heir yourself, you should be well aware of the tenuous situation we have found ourselves in - of all the time I have been of service to Her Majesty, this ranks lowest in my choices of times to call for a War Council to include new arrivals.
Hopefully you will be able to prove your claims, Master Larsa.
You have already professed yourself as being loyal to the Queen so I shall place you in the category of Royalists, Master Balthier. Have you anything to add in your name or that of your companion?
Only that to serve would be to live. I am a man used to a role and reason, lacking both for some time has left me wanting. I believe that aiding the Queen by offering my assistance in the return of order would restore the sense of purpose I have lost.
You seek to fill the role you once held in your home world. It is a good thing to hold a purpose in life and to know it, Master Balthier. You have my consideration.
If you had simply utilized your ability to read, you would of had your answer. Do not trifle with the Chancellor, there are important matters to be discussed- Your confusion is not one of them.
If you feel so strongly, perhaps you should apply to a seat on the council. If not, mayhap you should scrawl elsewhere - a children's colouring book may be more suited to your tastes.

And I do thank you, and Her Majesty. This opportunity is a great one.

Will you bring your own ideas and strategies to the Council then, Miss Garnet? Or merely discuss the ideas of others?

I leave myself in your hands, Chancellor.
