...I heard about what happened in the Market a few days back. My heart's with the boy's family and friends. It's never pretty when these things get out of hand. Certainly not where us Offworlders are concerned.

One hopes this doesn't escalate. I haven't been here long and I know Rive's got plenty of cause to loathe us. But I can tell... no, see, ( Read more... )

Fine. Some good.

Even then, you can't let the actions of one a few speak for the whole.

It's easier than you might think, when the actions of a few speak so loudly -- and so violently.

I agree. The Offworlders habit for causing trouble is growing irritating. As annoying as someone can be, even the idea of killing them is outrageous.

Think they're gettin' the wrong ideas. Can't say I know the kid who died, but this ain't the first time it's happened. Probably won't be the last either.

'Least our fun's harmless. For the most part.

For every Offworlder I pull in, I lose a few of the older customers - the ones who don't want to associate with the foreigners.

Can't say I'm coming up even, either. All these goings-on tend to make people a little more hesitant walking down dark alleys at night.

((OOC: Paul too, but he can't indicate he already knows more than hearsay. He's got a facade to maintain. ^_^))

Only from what my students and colleagues have bothered sharing. Since I've never heard from someone who was actually there, all the accounts so far feel kind of... I dont know, biased. You'd think the kid was shot deliberately.

Hm?

[That's feigned surprise from Paul Reid. But from the Green Hornet, that's the satisfaction of having his facts further verified by a participant. An Offworlder no less.]

Then, the one named Roy... he's being blamed for what another one of us did. Is that it?
