Citizens of Rivelata,I must apologize for not speaking on this matter sooner. The truth is... I was frightened. However, after speaking with the Chancellor at length, I have decided that this is indeed important for everyone to know, and important for me to do ( Read more... )

The key to defeating him forever? Gathering all the power that he has wanted so desperately for so long... Do you think for a second he does not want his revenge? That this will not give him the perfect opportunity?

And what assurance have we that you will not, in turn, keep these Treasures of his for yourself, as you have with the fragments you have kept for so long?

We cannot entrust this task to you, I am afraid.

This has become our fight as much as yours.

He claimed to never want to be bound again, and that he was searching for answers. I think he lost his memories like the other people from this 'Edensphere.'

Which begs the question...

What good did the last venture do, if he's back? Albeit humanoid and lacking memories.

If he had the power to do so, I have no doubt he would have already found me and killed me. He has not done so. Clearly the last venture stripped him of something precious.

Okay.

Let's get this straight.

You're saying this because he hasn't killed you.

Yet... You rebelled months ago before they killed him, and you're still alive.

What relevance does your life have now, that was less pertinent when he was still here?

I stopped being his Princess, yes, but that did not threaten his ability to continue doing as he pleased. He is one of the Lords of Oltretomba after all.

However, if he has not lashed out at me yet, I must wonder what power he still has.

And yet now he wants you dead. What an inspiring alliance that was.

It was not so much an alliance as a demand on the lives of all those on the island, had I not cooperated with him.

Ooh an island of hostages.

Sounds like a bad adventure novel.

Agreed on the latter part.

I agree. Although I still do not know much about the situation, I see no reason to trust this woman over this supposed 'God King'.

If these crystals hold any sort of power, then there is all the more reason not to hand them over without question.

The crystals hold power because they are a part of the Garnet, or were.

I needed this fragment I kept, or I would not have been able to continue trying to find peace for my people.

I can promise to return the fragments when it is done - I do not know if the Garnet would remain whole through the process.

You yourself have stated there are two crystals currently in your possession. The function of the other?

If we want to test this theory of yours for vanquishing him once and for all, I wonder, what is to keep another from taking his place?

What of the two new Lords of Oltretomba that now reside in the temple? Even were we to defeat him, what is to say they will not become tyrants as he was?

Do they reside there? I had thought they left us, thinking he was dead, as I did.

Two crystals would not have sealed the crystal back into a whole. Thus, we protected it from misuse, and used it when there was a threat to the city that could be solved using its powers.

I was not questioning why you still have it in your possession, but I notice you still neglect identifying its ability.

Again, what is to stop another? The two claimed Zikhadhara was not always as he was, not always even a Godking or a Lord of Oltretomba. Which would imply he was once mortal, and his powers attained in some manner. How can we know you do not seek that power for yourself? To become an immortal Godqueen, a new Lady of Oltretomba?

They have given no indication, one way or another, but it is foolish, Your Majesty, to presume things will fall in favor of Rivelata.

I, too, agree with Lelouche. This spontaneous statement does not sound very trustworthy.
