Parties with Steve

Jan 18, 2004 10:33

Last night was about the best night that I have had! Someone, that I have met briefly, has left a large impact on me. I will truly miss Steve, and hopefully, one day, some day, I will go to New York and visit him, or he'll come back here when he's done in Africa in May. He is one of the most fun people that I have ever hung out with, and even though my time with him was brief, I will always remember him. Corny, yes, but so very true, and there are not many people that I can immediately click with on that level. True, the night before, Steve wore me out dancing all night long! And, true, most guys that can actually dance are gay, hence why I guess he and I got along so well. I went over to Sam's friend's apartment with Steve, and never have I had that much fun. We played Monopoly, and every time you landed on "Free Parking," you had to take a shot of vodka. Needless to say, all I had to do was land on that one...which, started my connection with vodka for the whole night. I must have had 5 shots in about an hour and a half. I met a couple of great guys, Arturo (from Guatemala), Maciek (he's from Poland), and someone, whom, at this current moment, I can't remember their name (but can you blame me?!). After we were done monopoly, and they used the singing machine to sing Britney Spears, (damn, I am glad I wasn't drunk enough to forget that!) we went over to the Alley Cat, and had some great times. I got to see RafE, after the month of break not seeing him, and had a blast! Then, Steve and I walked back to the house. He's one of those people that I guess you can say has become a soul mate.

Yes, I have other "soul mates" because the idea that there is only one person for every individual doesn't really make much sense to me. As one of my best friend's from home has said, "There is no way that God would put such a difficult task in man's hands. Let's say that one person chooses the wrong person, and marries someone else's supposed-to-be spouse. Then, it's like a domino effect, and messes up the chain. How can God put such responsibility into man's hands?! Furthermore, people need friends, as each friend brings something new to each person that they meet, and, therefore, there should be more than one person for each that would make them happy." I love you, Matt. And, as for my other soul mate at home, Emily, I love you too. Patrick, thanks for all your help, you're such a sweetie! I miss you guys at home, but I guess if I have to pass the time, there's no better way than partying ;)

Now, I'm off to have breakfast with someone that I have been dying to see since I have gotten back! *grins* My other Steve *wink* Since, he's the only one that I haven't really seen and hung out with, other than Tom, and I can't wait!
