There is something profoundly annoying about the assumption that everyone--or even all women who are attracted to men--find the same things attractive. (If it was true , a lot more people would wear their hair long, to match my tastes.) I know I don't exist in their world, but I don't have to like it.

And, like Pantryslut, I wonder what it is about former Marines. some sort of machismo With reduced risk that he'll be shipped around the world and come back injured If at all?

I still can't quite get my head round the American view of the military because it's so different to the British one. I possibly don't frequent the right web sites, but I've never heard the equivalent to "Is there anything sexier than a former Marine with a gorgeous body?" This would presumably be something like, "...nothing sexier than an ex-member of the SAS," but I've never heard anyone saying that and in fact if they're regarded as anything, it's macho and scary, not sexy ( ... )
