Ooooohhh, fiber
I just got back from my first fiber guild meeting. In Allen there is a guild that meets every Wednesday and today I finally got a chance to go!
We won't mention the fact that I didn't get to go until 1:30 because of the counter top installation which of course, being in this house is an epic saga unto itself.
Anyway, I get there and barely remember the name of the person who told me about the group and the name of the person that I actually contacted to get there. There were about 10 women in all sitting around with their wheels chatting. I felt right at home, but kept mostly to myself, learning the lay of the land. Looks like Wednsday will be a good day to keep as a day off for moi in the coming weeks. I found out about a yahoo fiber list centered in East Tx. I will subscribe for the announcements, it is a very low volume list. I also found out that there is a fiber retreat in my neck of the woods, (well Tyler, which is as close as I could ever expect to have one) in mid-March so I missed it this year.
