Watermelon slim and the Workers

My friend and the band last night were awesome. The show is definately worth seeing if you get the chance. Mr. Slim has quite the sense of humor and appears to be a complete gentleman. I just wished a few more folks would have come out to see, shows are much more fun when there is a crowd. I stayed out way too late but it was worth it.

We had a chance to talk before the show, exchanged info, caught up for the last 7 years etc. I can't believe that his daughter, who used to fall asleep on my lap watching TV when she was 18 months old, is now a teenager. I have been told I am welcome to come for a visit, he has a spare room and his X-wife, another old friend, is living close by.

I am moving along at a snail's pace on the kitchen. Co-operation from the folks at the store where I had decided to buy my counter tops would be nice. I got the paint scraped off most of the windows and one blind hung. The temperatures are warming up and I want as much protection from the sun as possible or it is gonna get hot in that (south facing) kitchen.

My wheel turned out nicely:

My yarn I started at Irish Fest:

Ooooh pretty!

house, staining wheel, music
