The good news:
1. my neck is stabilized and my therapist feels that it no longer needs therapy. I must still continue the excercises that I have been doing indefinately.
2. An old friend of mine is going to be playing at Deep Ellum Blues on Friday evening. I have no idea how good the band (Watermelon Slim and the Workers)is, never heard them play together, but my friend is the bass player. I will be there for a while to try to say hi. I haven't been in a bar in years. Unfortunately I can't stay for the whole show, I have to work at 6am on Sat. *pout*
The bad news:
1. I keep having relapses with my back, I feel better for a few days, then worse. I don't always know what I did to cause it, if anything. This week it was the BFX truck. I bent over at the waist to move a box, shoved it over, not even lifting it. Now I can feel it. Ouch! My therapist has been trying new excercises every week, now we tried traction this morning.
2. Lumbar traction bad. I could barely move when I got done. I felt nauseous cuz it hurt so much. This is not good. 15 more minutes with moist heat on my back and I still hurt but I could get up and walk.
3. My garage door is kinda broken. One of the wheels has slipped out of the glide. With my back screwed up I don't have the strength to shove it back in. *pout* I found out by coming home to my garage door being wide open. I tried to close it and it came right back up again. Tried again. And again. Each time I looked for something out of place in the track that could be causing it to rebound. Finally I stood near the door of the garage to watch it go down and see the wheel break the safety beam. *sigh*
Anyone feel like coming over to help?
