project update
Okay, it has been a while since I updated my project list. During the last 4 months I have been working on the house stuff so the project list has been expanded to include a great many projects that are not fiber related. If anyone has been reading my journal for a while you may know that one of the purposes for it was to track my goal of finishing (at least) one project per month during 2005. The purpose being to make room in my old apt for me to move around a bit and to save money towards paying off my car and eventually a down payment on a condo. Well, that happened sooner than later, and I am now living in my new house (not condo) and still trying to complete my goal of one project per month. I have expanded the project list beyond fiber related projects because my goal was unrealistic otherwise. Not to mention that I couldn't live with that hideous wallpaper.
The last update was in early June consisting of the projects that I completed in May. So without further ado...
June: Fiber Friday critters: catepillars. Monster under the bed, fiber from stash sectioned, dyed with 6 different colors of kool-aide and spun into a lovely yarn in mid June.
July: Shopped for a mortgage, found house, got financing together, closed on house July 29.
August: Removed all wallpaper from the house except for the one wall in living room (it's staying).
Sept: I can't think of a single project that I finished except for the actual move into the house. I am trying to decide if it counts. It required time, planning and effort to execute, but I had no choice but to complete it. I worked on a heck of a lot of projects, but moving is the only thing that actually got finished.
October: Finished painting the living room down to the last detail. Finished painting my bedroom (still needs some touch-up). Finalized design and paid for new cabinets in kitchen.
Goals going forward:
November: Completely finish painting hallway, tear out old cabinets in kitchen, install old upper cabinets in garage, repair and paint kitchen walls.
December: Finish aran sweater for Chris, make chocolates for all my friends and co-workers.
January: Sleep alot.
December sounds like a piece of cake.
